Intercultural Communication Summer Course 2023 Officially Launched!

upskill-Udayana Summer Course 2023 Kicks Off with Kyoto University's Associate Professor

Finally after 3 years of program initiation and development, upskill and Udayana's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences' Intercultural Communications​ first summer course program of Intercultural Communication 2023 ​is officially ​opened.

Proudly announcing the official opening of the ​u​pskill and Udayana's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences' Intercultural Communications (FISIP) Summer Course program at Udayana University, today, Monday, 7th of August 2023, thrilled to collaborate with renowned academics, Dr. I Made Anom Wiranata, the Vice Dean of Udayana University's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), delivered the opening remarks for the pilot international program. 

He warmly welcomed our first participant David Dalsky, an Associate Professor from Kyoto University, to the ​u​pskill and FISIP summer course program of Intercultural Communications 2023. This collaboration was seen as a great honor, and it is hoped that the program would raise awareness on issues related to Bali as a globalization laboratory. The participation of David Dalsky was anticipated to foster mutual engagement and cooperation between both institutions in the future.

During his opening speech, Dr. I Made Anom Wiranata expressed his gratitude to upskill study, for providing them with the opportunity to conduct this program. The official opening of the Intercultural Communications summer course program was announced during the meeting.

The attendees at the meeting included Dr. Piers Andreas Noak, Vice Dean of Finance and Human Resources, Dr. Putu Suhartika, Head of the D3 Library Program, Ketut Wijana, Head of Administration for FISIP, Richard Togaranta Ginting, Program Manager for the upskill-FISIP Summer Course, and Sukma Sushanti, Head of Program Management for the upskill-FISIP Summer Course. Also present were Laura Korwa, Rima Naulida, and Wahyu Gunawan from the upskill study program.

The distinguished participant of the program, David J. Dalsky, holds a PhD and is an Associate Professor at Kyoto University, Japan. He is affiliated with the International Academic Research and Resource Center for Language Education (i-ARRC) and the Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences at the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy for Intercultural Research.

The opening marked the beginning of the upskill and Udayana's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences' summer course program and represented an exciting opportunity for international collaboration and knowledge exchange among the participants.
