What you can expect from our programs.
The Upskill Study Abroad Program welcomes participants from a wide range of academic backgrounds and professions who want to deepen their understanding of Indonesia’s environmental, social, and cultural landscapes. Our modules connect tropical ecology, marine studies, sustainability, social sciences, and community-based approaches, creating an interdisciplinary space where learning is shaped by real places and the people who study and protect them.
Our aim is to make complex topics accessible without oversimplifying them, and to offer a setting where participants can engage with ongoing research, fieldwork, and contemporary debates. Through lectures, field excursions, and collaborative projects, we focus on building analytical perspective, scientific curiosity, and a grounded awareness of how environmental and social systems evolve in the present day and what this means for the future.
